Goals:
To promote awareness of May as National Historic Preservation Month and to bring attention to
College Station's Historic Preservation efforts such as the American Mile, Project Hold and other
activities.
Objectives:
1. Bring attention to:
> Significant periods in College Station and the nation's history.
> Resources available in College Station that promote our local, state and national
history.
2. Raise the awareness of the public regarding the preservation of our history for present
and future generations.
Target Audience:
Bryan- College Station and Brazos County Residents as well as visitors to the community
Strategies:
Newspaper
Write a 750 -900 word article as a Special to the Eagle Marguerite Anthony
kicking off National Heritage Month and the Jane Hughey
Dedication of the American Mile project. Ready by April 16

Clear Channel Radio/ Thurs: 1:30 pm( Galleria Bldg. in Bryan) Topic ( Anne to select)

Several times throughout the month of May show the
1988 Golden Memories Video and or the ppt. from PROJECT HOLD.
April 27th at the American Mile Dedication Ceremony
HPC members to set up laptops with PROJECT HOLD power point showing and handout
literature and answer questions.
Measures of success of the campaign
Increased number of calls and requests for information or hits on PROJECT HOLD site
Did they increase? -
Will need to know the beginning numbers as a benchmark before if this is to be measured.
