Item I : Mr. Hunter- State DPS explains his work function- -
Job: Point of contact between local government and
state government. He has region 6A- 6B.
Mr. Hunter will be notified by DPS when a disaster
occurs.
Work function: (a) assist local government in planning
for emergencies.
(b) operate in the field when disaster
occurs and give assistance.
Dr. Burns - -says we need a better understanding with
Red Cross representative to keep area of operations from
overlapping.
Call in Salvation army and Red Cross paid personnel
Mr. Hunter continued: 'c) when a call is made for help-- -
it goes to state and state looks
over state for assistance.
(d) on local government losses - if cost of
replacing city or county property is beyond
capacity of local government ask for help.
(e) if government plus private property damage
& disaster is declared -we get help and other
agencies such as HUD, etc will help
private owners.
Item II Mr. Henry Alsmeyer - -- Resignation.
Item III County Emergency ASCS board functions.
Item IV St. Joseph Hospital Emergency exercise April 3,8PM.
Item V Meeting of Tornado Warning group and news media.
New forms developed and action taken to notify
news media of any severe weather detected by radar.
