Item I: Report from commanding officer of reserve squadron,
980th Reserve Squadron USAF (Col. W.K. Henry)
Drawer D.L. - College Station, Texas
on NCW orders allowing unit participation in Civil
Defense for Reserve credit points. These officers will
work under unit C.D. and will have their time certified
by him. (Not assigned to CD office).
Col. Henry reports: Reserve Squadrons can work with
Civil Defense for credit points. Total credit points
per year- 35.
Limitations: Must work in uniform
Total 18
Recommended a project by this unit for shelter inspections.
He will check with unit and let us know.
Mr. Sandlin recommended also work on plan.
Item II; Civil Defense Exercise A/c7 DPS letter Dated Sept. 6, 1967
Deadline date- Sept. 20, 1967, so we could not participate.
Item III: Report on Special meeting of Sept. 16, 1967 for Rural Fire
Protection.- Mr.- Frierson reports: he thinks we should have
a number system for each house and names of owner on ;ate
and mail box with platel
need: County make signs (see Bill Stasny).
Check with Wellborn water supply board.
Item IV: Police Training School: Schedule for sometime before Dec.
Funds approved by Board.
Adult Education program:
Plans being made to train new teachers supplied by Horman Bell.
Need to see Judge on Travel Expense for Rural Mobilization
Station ( ) approved e a mile by Judge Vance.
Storage Space - -Check Mr. Seale on room in building on parking
Lot.

Procedures for Appointments - as for County Judge Vance.
Certificates on a 2 year bases- ending Jan. 1, on all
I.D. Cards and certificates Jan. 1, 1969 etc.
