DIRECTORS MEETING
Time: 6:45 A.M., April 14, 1960
Place: Claytons Resturant, Bryan
Business Transacted::.:
1. Armed Services Day plans were explained.
Tenative plans include Rescue Truck in
the parade and later a Rescue display.
May 21, is the aate.
2. Checkerboard Alert for May 3, at 12 Noon
was explained and discussed. The alert
was nation -wide and the local control
was partially activated.
3. Fallout & Radiation Instruments placed in
high schools were briefly discussed.
4. A Sin le Organization plan for the CD
needs Bryan, College Station, and the
County was brought up by John Hill. The
plan is being studied and will be brought
up later.
5. Warning Device Sur��ve for the city area
p
has been romisecby the State CD office.
6. Auxiliary Power Supplies for the key
positions were discussed. Bryan Police
Department is attempting to get a unit
now.
7. Adult Education pro ram in our schools
was reported on b Dr. Cole, Medical
Director. Dr. Cole had completed the
training course and was well pleased
with the material and presentation.
E. Fallout & Tornado Shelter literature
in trle County office was discussed and
shown.
9. Tornado Reporting & Warning was discussed.
Spotter Network orogreess was reported by
W. A. Neaves. Radar Phone number changes
were given to the staff.
