This unit has had an agreement with the local Civil Defense office since it was organized to assist our local governments on a voluntary basis whenever called upon by this office. This has happened several times in the past and the response of these men was outstanding. The local State Guard unit is a dedicated group of our local citizens who give their spare time preparing them- selves to assist the local community without any consid- eration other than being of service to their local govern- ment and fellow citizens. I would highly recommend any assistance or support we can give them. This office considers the State Guard as one of our most important emergency assets.
