Gentlemen:
We are scheduling a Radiological Monitoring Course for all
public service personnel July 22 and 23. This course will be
conducted in the Brazos Center and will start at 9 A.M. each day
and go until 3 P.M. with one hour for lunch.
The purpose of this training is to insure that our community
will have properly trained officers with available equipment to
cope with either a Radioactive Materials accident or a Nuclear
Attack. I feel that each Department should have a cadre trained
to handle radioactive emergencies.
The training course will be coordinated by Col. Carroll Bell
of our office and he will contacting you in the near future for
recruiting your participants. This training course will be a
joint effort of the State Health Department and the Brazos County
Civil Defense Office. Individuals who complete the course will
be certified as qualified radiological monitors and will be issued
certificates.
Anyone interested in taking this course should contact the
Brazos County Civil Defense Office from 8 A.M. until noon at
822 -7373, Ext. 219.
Your cooperation and support will be sincerely appreciated.
Sincerely yours,
J. •'e Canglose
Brazos County Director
