It really helps to give depth to the present. I hope you'll continue such listings in the future as your time permits. Susan Irza, HPC Re: Exploring History Lunch Lectures Should be another great topic. You do a fabulous job. Danny Stribling, Carriage Inn Please put me on your E-mail list for the Exploring History Lunches. I really enjoyed the lectures and look forward to attending those in the future. Gene Bearrow, retired City of CS employee Thanks for the excellent programs during the past 4 or 5 years. We have learned so much that we did not know about CS and its past, present and future. Keep up the good work! Peggy Hope Re: Native American Display at Veterans Park Dear Anne, Just wanted you to know that if I can offer a voice of support for your proposed kiosk (Alston Thoms told me about it)….I would be happy to! I also wanted to offer my heartfelt thanks for all that you do for this community. I was saddened to hear about your budget cuts. You have brought some wonderful programs to our area and I hope you can continue them! Best wishes, Deborah (Cowman ), Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History Thanks for your kind words. In reality, however, it’s folks like you and Ms. Winn who are getting the information to our citizens, which is where it’s much needed because it tells the story of how truly multicultural our part of the world is and has long been. Such [budget] cuts—in the face of budget shortfalls or otherwise—are short-sighted and, as a consequence, tend to minimize efforts to recount a diversity of perspectives on past and how we came to be what we are today. Dr. Alston Thoms, TAMU Dept. of Anthropology Re: 1309 Walton House Thank you so much for the information you provided! We really appreciate your help. Dave and Susan Fox Re: Heritage Programs I think you are an absolute treasure for all you have done with the Project HOLD work. I especially love the May 07 piece where someone describes the landscape west of TAMU ( along the old FM 60)--I lived in that area when I was a kid in two different houses, and I think about that place almost every day.
