ORDINANCE NO. 1322
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 OF THE COLLEGE STATION CODE OF
ORDINANCE RELATING TO PARKS AND RECREATION AREAS OF THE CITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
THAT CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
SHALL BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
1.
CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 B. shall be amended to read:
B. PAYMENT OF FEE
It shall be unlawful for any person to use or enter upon any swimming pool,
golf course or other park or recreation facilities for which a fee is charged,
without first having paid said fee. Payment of said fee shall entitle the
person to use the facilities for the sole purpose for which the facility is
intended or designated.
CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 E. shall be amended to read:
E. ADVERTISING
It shall be unlawful for any person to display any advertising matter by signs
or to distribute advertising matter of any character.within any parkways,
medians, parks, golf courses, swimming pools, or other recreation areas of
the City of College Station without permission of the Parks and Recreation
Department.
CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 F. shall be amended to read:
F. SELLING OF MERCHANDISE OR SERVICES
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale any goods, wares,
services, or merchandise within any parkways, medians, parks, playgrounds,
swimming pools, or other recreation areas without permission of the Parks
and Recreation Department.
CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 I. shall be amended to read:
I. RESTRICTED AREAS AND TIMES
It shall be unlawful for any person to enter any portion of a swimming pool,
park, or recreation area which is designated as restricted, or to enter any
area during the hours of the day when said area is not open to the public or
to enter at any time any swimming pool, park, or recreation area which is
closed for the season.
CHAPTER 1, SECTION 14 Q. shall be amended to read:
Q. CONDITION OF USE
Compliance with rules and regulations of this section is a condition of

use of the public parks and recreation areas of the city, and all police
officers shall have the right and power to arrest any person who may
violate any of the rules, regulations, orders, or requirements of any ordinance
or general law relating to the maintenance of the park and recreation areas
of the City of College Station located within or without the corporate limits
of said city.
2.
Should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance
be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any purpose, the remainder of this
ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to
the extent of the conflict only.
4.
And, it is ordained that this ordinance shall become effective from and after
its passage in accordance with the city charter of the City of College Station.
