AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 140,682 SQUARE FOOT TRACT, A 7,382 SQUARE FOOT TRACT,
AND A 14,299 SQUARE FOOT TRACT ALSO BEING PARTS OF LOTS 24, 25, 29 & 30 OF
THE D. A. SMITH ADDITION, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE
FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
C-1, COMMERCIAL -INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT C-2, AND APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R-6
TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, October 27, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of three tracts of land being portions
of Lots 24, 25, 29 and 30 of the D. A. Smith Addition in College Station,
Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described by metes and bounds as
follows:
TRACT NUMBER 1
A tract of 140,682 square feet of land, more or less, being part of Lots
24, 25, 29 and 30 of the D. A. Smith Addition as carried on the tax records
of the City of College Station, Brazos County, Texas and more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the northwesterly right-of-way line of Live Oak Street,
that bears N 44°01100" E a distance of 120.00 feet along that same right-of-way
from a point at the intersection of the northwesterly right-of-way of Live Oak
Street and the northeasterly right-of-way of State Highway No. 6.
THENCE N 44006'00" W -- 61.55 feet along a line parallel to the northeasterly
right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 to an interior corner;
THENCE S 44001'00" W -- 10.00 feet along a line parallel to the northwesterly
right-of-way of Live Oak Street to an exterior corner;
THENCE N 44006'00" W -- 143.06 feet along a line parallel to the northeasterly
right-of-way of State Highway No. 6 to a point being the western corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 44001'00" E -- 696.90 feet to a point in the southwesterly right-of-way
line of Eisenhower Street;
THENCE S 45046'00" E -- 204.50 feet along the southwesterly right-of-way of
Eisenhower Street to its point of intersection with the northwesterly right-of-way
of Live Oak Street, said point being the eastern corner of this tract;
THENCE S 44001'00" W -- 676.90 feet along the northwesterly right-of-way of
Live Oak Street to the POINT OF BEGINNING of this tract containing 140,682
square feet of land more or less from General Commercial District C-1,
Commercial -Industrial District C-2 and Apartment Building District R-6 to
General Commercial District C-1.
TRACT NUMBER 2
A tract of 7,382 square feet of land more or less being Block 25, Lot 1, and
Block 30, Lot 1, in the D. A. Smith Addition in the tax records of Coll//egge�eStation3,

Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Beginning at a point at the intersection of the northwesterly right-of-way line
of Live Oak Street and the northeasterly right-of-way of State Highway No. 6;
THENCE N 44006'00" W -- 61.55 feet along the northeasterly right-of-way of
State Highway NO. 6 for the western corner of this tract;
THENCE N 44001'00" E -- 120.00 feet along a line parallel to the northwesterly
right-of-way of Live Oak Street to a point being the northern corner of this
tract;
THENCE S 44006'00" E 61.55 feet along a line parallel to the northeasterly
right-of-way line of State Highway No. 6 to a point in the northwesterly
right-of-way line of Live Oak Street for the eastern corner of this tract;
THENCE S 44001'00" W -- 120.00 feet along the northwesterly right-of-way of
Live Oak Street to a point on the northeasterly right-of-way of State Highway
No. 6 being the southern corner of this tract and the POINT OF BEGINNING and
containing 7,382 square feet of land, more or less, from General Commercial
District C-1 and Commercial/Industrial District C-2 to General Commercial
District C-1.
TRACT NUMBER 3
A tract of 14,299 square feet of land, more or less, being Block 30, Lot 2 in
the D. A. Smith Addition as carried on the tax records of College Station, Brazos
County, Texas and more fully described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly right-of-way line of State Highway No.
6, that bears N 44°06'00" W a distance of 61.55 feet from a point at the inter-
section of the northwesterly right-of-way of Live Oak Street and the northeasterly
right-of-way of State Highway No. 6.
THENCE N 44006'00" E -- 143.06 feet continuing along the northeasterly right-of-
way of State Highway No. 6 for the western corner of this tract;
THENCE N 44001'00" E -- 100.00 feet along a line parallel to the northwesterly
right-of-way of Live Oak Street for the northern corner of this tract;
THENCE S 44006'00" E -- 143.06 feet along a line parallel to the northeasterly
right-of-way of State Highway No. 6 for a point being the eastern corner
of this tract;
THENCE S 44001'00" W -- 100.00 feet along a line parallel to the northwesterly
right-of-way of Live Oak Street to a point in the northeasterly right-of-way
of State Highway No. 6 being the southern corner of this tract, to the POINT
OF BEGINNING and containing 14,299 square feet of land, more or less, from
General Commercial District C-1, Commercial/Industrial District C-2 to
General Commercial District C-1.
And it is ordained that the said changes shall be effective immediately.
