AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 1.755 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND IN THE MORGAN RECTOR
LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 46, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT R-1 TO GENERAL
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on Thursday, September 8, 1977 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the city limits;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 1.755 acre tract or
parcel of land lying and being situated in the Morgan Rector League, Abstract 46,
Brazos County, Texas, and being the remainder of a 60 acre tract conveyed to
Mrs. Tom 0. (Josie) Murray by partition deed recorded in Volume 97, Page 90 of
the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas; said 1.755 acre tract being more par-
ticularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod in the northeast right-of-way line of State Highway
No. 6, same being in the northwest right-of-way line of Krenek Tap Road;
THENCE N 47039.5' W along the northeast right-of-way line of State Highway
No. 6 for a distance of 124.5 feet to an iron rod for corner at the Baptist
Church 2.0 acre tract;
THENCE N 44*50' E along the said Baptist Church tract for a distance of 350
feet to an iron rod for corner at a fence corner;
THENCE N 47*21' W continuing along the Baptist Church 2.0 acre tract for a
distance of 137.5 feet to an iron rod for corner at a fence corner;
THENCE N 45000' E along the Oak Forest Mobile Home Park for a distance of 104.0
feet to an iron rod for corner at the Virginia Reese 0.75 acre tract;
THENCE S 47039' E along the Reese 0.75 acre tract for a distance of 313.5 feet
to an iron rod for corner in the northwest right-of-way line of Krenek Lane;
THENCE S 45000' W along the northwest right-of-way line of Krenek Lane for a
distance of 455.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 1.755 acres of
land, more or less, from Single Family Residential District R-1 to General
Commercial District C-1.
And it is ordained that said change shall be effective immediately.
