AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A 0.202
ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE, BEING A PORTION OF RESERVE TRACT
"B", PLANTATION OAKS ADDITION, SECTION ONE (VOLUME 311, PAGE 179, BRAZOS COUNTY
DEED RECORDS) FROM APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT, DISTRICT R-3; TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT, DISTRICT C-1.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station has been presented a
petition by the owners of the herein described tract of land to rezone the same
from Apartment Building District, District R-3, to General Commercial District,
District C-1;
THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of College Station shall consider the above request according to the
provisions of Section 13-A of Ordinance No. 850 and shall make recommendation
to the City Council prior to the 26th day of August 1974; and
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing be held at City Hall in College Station,
Texas, at 7:00 P.M. on August 26, 1974 on the question of rezoning all of that
certain tract of land in the City of College Station described as follows:
Being a 0.202 acre (8,800 square feet) tract or parcel of land, and being a
portion of Reserve Tract "B", Plantation Oaks Addition, Section One (Re -plat),
a subdivision in the City of College Station, Texas according to the plat
thereof duly recorded in Volume 311, page 179 of the Deed Records of Brazos
County, Texas, said tract also being a portion of that tract conveyed to Harry
Seaback by Plantation Oaks Apartments, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume 320,
page 695 of the Brazos County Deed Records and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the point of intersection of the most northerly right-of-way line
of State Highway 30 with the most easterly right-of-way line of Rhett Butler Drive;
THENCE N 45041'30 E for a distance of 382.80 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 44018'30" W for a distance of 196.20 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING of
the herein described tract;
THENCE continuing N 44018'30" W for a distance of 800.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 45041'30" E for a distance of 110.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 44018'30" E for a distance of 80.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 45041'30" W for a distance of 110.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and
containing 0.202 acres (8,800 square feet) of land, more or less from Apartment
Building District, District R-3, to General Commercial District, District C-1.
