AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 7.97 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE
RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE
DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 4, FIRST BUSINESS DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTI-
CULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M.
on July 26, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits,
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of land
lying and being situated in the Richard Carter League, College Station, Brazos County,
Texas, being a part of that 125 acre tract conveyed to Ed Putz, et ux, by Elizabeth
J. Atkins, et al, by deed dated 8 December 1915 and recorded in Volume 44, Page
382 of the Deed of Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeast line of Tarrow Street and the
northwest line of University Drive (FM 60);
Thence with the northwest line of University Drive as follows:
N 450 32' 59" E - 17.32 feet;
N 480 56' 43" E - 158. 32 feet to a concrete monument;
N 510 32' 04" E - 307.9 feet to a concrete monument;
N 610 32' 04" E - 307. 85 feet to a concrete monument;
N 500 56' 38" E - 15.41 feet to an iron rod;
Thence N 440 05' 05" W - 649. 31 feet to an iron rod in the southeast line of
Tarrow Street;
Thence with the southeast and northeast line of Tarrow Street as follows:
S 80 21' 30" W - 19. 36 feet to an iron rod at the P. C. of a curve to the
right (R=4301)
Along the arc of said curve to the right through a central angle of 340 30,
to the P. T. of said curve;
S 420 51' 30" W - 189. 84 feet to the P. C. of a curve to the left (R=3701)
Along the arc of said curve to the left through a central angle of 870 51, 30"
to the P. T. of said curve;
S 450 00' 00" E - 40. 86 feet to the point of beginning and containing 7. 97 acres
of land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District
No. 4, First Business District, and it is so ordained that said change be effectigyp,�
