HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-0768 - Ordinance - 07/26/1971r ORDINANCE NO. 768 AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 22.27 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TEXAS AVENUE AND SOUTHWEST PARKWAY FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 3, APARTMENT HOUSE DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P. M. on July 26, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits, AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 22.27 acre tract beginning at an iron rod at the common corner of the City of College Station tract (127/350), the Parkway Investment Corporation tract (293/621) and the Area Progress Corporation tract in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station, Texas; Thence N 440 54' 45" W - 608. 63 feet along the line between the Area Progress Corporation tract and the Parkway Investment Corporation tract to the southeast line of Southwest Parkway; Thence, along the southeast line of Southwest Parkway as follows: N 210 37' 00" E - 347. 84 feet to the P. C. of a curve to the right (R=987. 28); Along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 220 18' 35" to the P. T. of said curve; N 430 55' 35" E - 538. 67 feet; Thence S 460 04' 25" E - 837. 24 feet across the Parkway Investment Corporation tract to the northwest line of the City of College Station tract; Thence S 440 58' 19" W - 1247. 80 feet along the line between the City of College Station tract and the Parkway Investment Corporation tract to the point of beginning and containing 22.27 acres of land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House District to District No. 3, Apartment House District, and it is so ordained that said change be effective immediately.
