ORDINANCE NO. 759
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE QUESTION OF REZONING A
7.97 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE RICHARD CARTER LEAGUE FROM DISTRICT
NO. 11 FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 41 FIRST BUSINESS
DISTRICT, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that
all land described herein be rezoned from District No. 1, First Dwelling
House District to District No. 4, First Business District;
It is hereby ordered that a public hearing shall be held at the City
Hall in College Station, Texas, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 1971,
on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in
the Richard Carter League, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a
part of that 125 acre tract conveyed to Ed Putz, et ux, by Elizabeth J.
Atkins, et al, by deed dated 8 December 1915 and recorded in Volume 44,
Page 382 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the northeast line of Tarrow Street
and the northwest line of University Drive (FM 60);
Thence with the northwest line of University Drive as follows:

S 80 21' 30" W - 19.36 feet to an iron rod at the P.C. of a curve to
the right (R=4301);
Along the arc of said curve to the right through a central angle of
340 30' to the P.T. of said curve;
S 420 51' 30" W - 189.84 feet to the P.C. of a curve to the left
(R=370');
Along the arc of said curve to the left through a central angle of
870 51' 30" to the P.T. of said curve;
S 450 00' 00" E - 40.86 feet to the point of beginning and containing
7.97 acres of land more or less, from District No. 1, First Dwelling House
District to District No. 4, First Business District.

Notice of said hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of College Station at least three times, the first
publication of which shall be not less than 15 days prior to the date
fixed for the hearing.
