HomeMy WebLinkAboutMiller, Susan LauraSusan Miller, her husband Tom Dunlap and daughter Margaret
moved to the Brazos Valley in the summer of 1991. She has worked as
a pharmacist at Kroger for over fifteen years. Her work, her family and
her commitment to the Jewish community of Bryan/College Station have
defined her place in our community.
Through her professional practice Susan has made lasting friends.
She believes that best- practice in pharmacy requires not only patient
education but a close patient-pharmacist relationship, and patients have
been known to call her at home with questions and concerns. She is
a member of the Texas and local Pharmaceutical Associations and the
American Pharmaceutical Association. Kroger has honored her with a
distinguished service award and medal.
She has been a long term pharmacy volunteer at the Health For All
clinic in Bryan and is now pharmacist-in-charge and a member of the
clinic's board and Executive Committee. The clinic does vital work in
bringing health care and drug therapy to citizens of the Brazos Valley
who are without medical insurance and cannot afford to pay.
As a lay leader of Congregation Beth Shalom, Susan has had many
posts and duties, from President, Hebrew teacher, and worship leader to
KP and latrine duty. She now serves as director of religious education,
a challenging and rewarding position.
Susan believes institutions like the Prenatal Clinic and the persons
who support and staff them have become indispensable parts of our
community and contribute to our collective happiness and well-being.
