Review Coversheets for May 10 CC Meeting: Tom Brymer, City Manager, reviewed coversheets for the May 10th City Council meeting. 2. Review Agenda Planning Calendar: Tom Brymer reviewed the agenda planning calendar and items were removed, added and rescheduled. 3. Microsoft Audit Update: Olivia Burnside, MIS Director, reported on the status of the Microsoft License Audit. Results revealed that there are 612 P.C.'s citywide and 14 of them lacked Microsoft Office software. The City purchased 14 Office software licenses, 180 Client access licenses, and upgraded Microsoft Windows NT servers. The total cost of the purchases was $13,000. The City is now able to pass an audit by Microsoft. In the future, MIS will update licenses for Adobe and other software. The audit has put the MIS Department approximately one month behind on their regular duties. 4. EIC Update: Julie O'Connell, HR Director, reported on the discussions during the May 1st EIC meeting. Discussions included: - Internet "Yellow Pages" project that will allow employees to quickly access to answer frequently asked City question. - Flextime proposed policy was distributed as a draft and employees were informed that it will probably be adopted in its current form. - Health Insurance update: employees were informed of the increases in healthcare costs and reminded of the increase of health insurance to $270 in January. - Direct Deposit: Employees questioned why the City is moving to this policy and explained that some City employees cannot get an account because of credit problems and asked for a solution for receiving paychecks. Julie informed employees that checks could be mailed or may be available for employees to pick up at City Hall during specified times on payday. Tom stated that we need an effective information campaign to make the reasoning and process clear to employees. He directed HR and Finance to inform employees via the employee newsletter and an attachment to paychecks for those who are not already on direct deposit. 5. Other: ➢ E -Govt. Update: Julie O'Connell reported on the e -govt. training that will occur May 10th in the PUD training room. The training will be from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm and is free to employees. Contact Carolynn in HR to sign up. ➢ Management Team Evaluation: Julie and Tom distributed a Mgt. Team evaluation form that should filled out and returned prior to evaluation. ➢ Council Update: Tom asked directors if they would like him to email the Council Update to assistants then let him know. ➢ Strategic Plan Update: JeffKersten, OBSP Manager, needs all strategic plan updates immediately. ➢ Mgt. Team Meeting Time: Beginning May 9Th the Mgt. Team will start meetings at 9:00 am instead of 8:15 am.
