The oral histories will be edited into a one hour presentation to be shown prior to the airing of "the War" at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. Our deadline is August 4. Presentations • None College Station Conference Center Heritage Display • Scenes of the Sixties to open July 9 at the CS Conference Center. Emily is formatting the photographs. Anne is gathering the memorabilia. Project HOLD Moment in History • July issue will coincide with the A&M CHS 60s Decade Reunion with the topic being "Scenes of the Sixties". This issue will promote and complement the exhibit. Oral History Team • Mary Hamlin is hard at work and has completed three more interviews this month: Jeanette Hedge, Ruby Crawford and Dorothy Hernandez. Volunteers Our college volunteers are away for the summer so scanning maybe limited somewhat. The Boykin family is pitching in, though. Rosemary (Mom) is keeping up to date with newspaper clippings, logging in numerous hours. Kensey Lee (niece) has mastered Laserfiche scanning at 11 years of age and scanned in all of the A&M Consolidated Elementary School class photos. When she returns from vacation she will continue by adding the names of the students to each class photo. Intern • Emily Johnson has been working very hard on the exhibit, scanning and keeping the Project HOLD office organized and tidy! She has been very easy to work with and most capable. She is managing to find her way around City Hall and learn about the various aspects of our city government.
