Mrs. DeShazo was born May
29, 1894, in Coke County, to Rob
and Thisbe Boykin. She was mar,-
ried to Homer DeShazo on Dec.
25, 1912, in San Angelo. They

lifelong. church leader in the

Methodist Church, having been a
teacher of A.dult Sunday School
classes for 45 years. ,
She was a charter member of'
St. !luke Methodist Church. The-
Viola. DeShazo Circle, of United
Methodist Women, was named in
her honor.
She was preceded in death by
her h\.lsband in 1967 and by one
daughter,. Dovie DeshaH)'
Wallace in 1.941. .
Survivors include one' SOIi'l,
Duane DeShazo of Odessa; one
daughter, Mrs. Dorothy
Clements of San Angelo; one
brother, Walton R. Boykin of
Cerritos, Calif.; and five .grand-
children, Stanley Wallac~'i
