L. P. Dulaney, Building Official, for his notice of November 4, concerning a called meeting in the Council Room of the College Station, City Hall at 7:30pm., Tuesday, I November 12,
1974, to consider a request from Bob Rice, owner of ' 4 lot 15, block 5, College Park, for a variance to the terms of the side setback line requirement of the zoning ordinance in order
to construct a carport addition to an existing garage which lies approximately 5 feet from the property line. If permissible, I request the following comments be read into the minutes
of this called meeting: The "existing garage" referred to by Mr. Rice, has been converted into air-conditioned living quarters and is presently occupied as a second dwelling on a 50
foot lot. Some time ago, Mr. Rice, asked me if I would sign a variance wavier to permit him to convert his garage to an apartment dwelling. I declined to comply with his request and
stated to him that in my opinion his lot was too small to accomodate two dwellings without ?" '\
