Altar candelabra holding daffodil yellow tapers shed soft lighting on the background of palms which were accented with ac- acia trees and two baskets of pale yellow gladioli and Marconi daisies. :Irs Rex L Copper, sister of the bridegromm, harpist, and Mrs Otis Ellison, pianist gave prenuptial se- lections as wedding guests assem- bled, and accompanied Ray Smith who sang "The Sweetest Story Ever Told," "God Gave Me You" and "Sa- viour Like a Shepherd Lead Us." The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. The bodice of lace over White was encrusted in seed pearls and the bouffant skirt of tulle was also over bridal satin. The bride carried a white Bible over - laid with a white orchid encircled w,,,th sephanotis with streamers of ribbons emphasized with love knots. Her only ornament was a strand of pearls while traditional emblems were an heirloom handkerchief bor- rowed from a friend and for "some- thing old" she wore the wedding ring of the great great grandmother of the bridegroom. Her fingertip veil of illusion was softly gathered to a Juliette cap of patent leather. On their return Mr and Mrs Lan- caster will he at home in the Boyett Street apartments, Bryan. the bridegroom. Miss Glenna Morgan attended the bride as maid of honor and brides- maids were Misses Betty Jo Wa1ke.r, Lera Canavespie, and Charlotte Bai- liff. They wore frocks of yellow tef- feta with strapless bodices, stoles and bouffant overskirts of nylon net. Their Juliette caps of yellow velvet ribbons were accented with crescent bouquets of daffodils. Attending the bridegroom were hia brother, James Lancaster, best man, while groomsmen. were John S Lancaster, another brother of the bridegroom and also Dempsey Guth- rie and Horace Schaffer. The bride's mother was attired in a frock of N avy blue lace, while the groom's mother chose a dress of black lace. They both wore corsages of cymbedium orchids. Following the wedding cermony a reception was held at the parsonage home of Rev and Mrs J D Walker, where f 'veers and decor in colors featured in church decorations - xere noted. Mrs Claude Roberts presided at the tiered. embossed wedding, cake and Miss Mary Lou Farmer dis- pensed iced fruit punch. Mrs Bill La- gravier registered guests . in the bride's book.
