AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 3.E(2)(g), OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF TIlE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
AND DECLARING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO[.INCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That Chapter 10, Section 3.E(2)(g), of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
College Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
made a part of this ordinance for all purposes.
That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or
unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining
provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be
punishable by a frae of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than
Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be
permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a
penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (I0) days after its publication in the
newspaper, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College
Station.

That Chapter 10, Section 3.E(2)(g), of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station,
Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
F.M. 2818, for traffic moving in a southerly direction for the first 3.697
miles fi.om the North City Limit to the intersection of Hopes Creek Road,
the speed limit shall be sixty (60) miles per hour.
F.M. 2818, for traffic moving in a easterly direction for the next 1.520
miles fi.om the intersection of Hopes Creek Road to the intersection of Rio
Grande, the speed limit shall be fifty (50) miles per hour. Within the said
fifty (50) miles per hour speed zone fi.om approximately 190 feet west of
Welsh Avenue, to approximately 220 feet east of Nueces Drive, the speed
limit shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour when so signed for school
zone. For the next 1.519 miles to the intersection of State Highway 6
ByPass East Frontage Road the speed limit shaft be forty-five (45) miles
per hour.
F.M. 2818, for traffic moving in a northerly direction for the first 0.80 mile
fi.om the intersection of State Highway 6 ByPass West Frontage Road to
the intersection of Business State Highway 6 R (Texas Avenue), the speed
limit shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour.
F.M. 2818, for traffic moving in a westerly direction for the next 1.519
miles fi.om the intersection of State Highway 6 ByPass West Frontage
Road to the intersection of Rio Grande, the speed limit shall be forty-five
(45) miles per hour. For the next 1.520 miles fi.om the intersection of Rio
Grande to the intersection of Hopes Creek Road, the speed shall be fifty
(50) miles per hour. Within the said fifty (50) miles per hour speed zone
fi.om approximately 220 feet east of Nueces Drive to approximately 190
feet west of Welsh Avenue, the speed limit shah be thirty-five (35) miles
per hour when so signed for school zone
F.M. 2818, for traffic moving in a northerly direction for a distance of
3.697 miles from the intersection of Hopes Creek Road to the North City
Limits, the speed limit shall be sixty (60) miles per hour."
