WHEREAS, the City of General Zuazua in Nuevo Leon, Mexico,
is a city of approximately 8,500 inhabitants with
a progressive leadership seeking to promote the
growth and welfare of the city; and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the City of College
Station and the City of General Zuazua join
together in a Sister City relationship whereby
each would receive from the other the benefits of
international friendship; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, has determined that the exchange of culture
and ideas could broaden the base of knowledge and
further the welfare of the citizens of College
Station,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and City
Councils of the City of College Station, Texas,
and the City of General Zuazua, that this city
shall participate in a program of friendship and
exchange with the City of General Zuazua, and that
College Station looks forward to the growth of
international understanding through this
association.
