A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS, AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, determined a need to study a
particular area of the City to identify resident issues, create recommendations to address those
issues and update and refine its goals for future development of said area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports neighborhood planning, and a Citizen Planning Team
was formed to work with staff, residents and property owners to guide recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on September 20, 2001,
to receive further input regarding the study; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves and adopts the attached Eastgate
Neighborhood Plan as presented.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby incorporates the Eastgate Neighborhood Plan into
the College Station Comprehensive Plan as its official policy regarding the City's
growth and development in the Eastgate area including, but not limited to, land
use; thoroughfares; parks; open space; urban design; and provision of City
services.
PART 3: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
ADOPTED this 1st day of November, A.D. 2001.
