Meeting Minutes Wednesday, February 2, 2022
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 1:03 p.m. by Leighton Schubert.
Recognition of national, state & local elected representatives
Brazos County Commissioners Court —Steve Aldrich, Russ Ford
City of College Station —Councilman John Nichols
Texas House of Representative District 12 Staff - Creager Davis
Chamber Board of Directors, Chair - Wade Beckman
li. Discussion
Mike Connor, Linda Ravey, and John Anderson gave an overview of the updates being made
to the Federal Legislative Action Plan. Russ Ford asked for assistance with mental health
facilities. He and Steve Aldrich are working on this issue and could use support.
III. Approval of December 2021 Meeting Minutes
A motion was made by John Bush to approve the minutes from the December 1, 2021
meeting. The motion was seconded by Wade Beckman. The motion carried and the minutes
were approved.
IV. Transportation Committee Update
John Nichols, Transportation Committee Chair, reported the February meeting is scheduled
for February 23rd where we will hear an update on the Federal Legislative Action Plan, Paul
Casper with TxDOT and Debbie Albert with Texas A&M Transportation Institute.
V. Suggested LAC Presentations/Training
No suggestions
VI. Other Business
Mike Conner announced with the upcoming weather they spoke with ERCOT and were
assured they are prepared. Mike also noted that BTU has made preparations and are also
prepared.
Glen Brewer announced the Local Candidate Forum is scheduled for February 9th at the
Brazos Center.

March 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

John Nichols motioned to adjourn, Mat Prochaska seconded the motion.
