Consider application for master electrician Take action on agenda items 5-23. exam Mr. Grillo made a motion to approve license renewals for Rodney Butler, Jimmie Gray, Henry Harris, C. W. Henderson, Alton Hensarling, R. T. Hensarling, Danny Hubbard, Rowland Johnson, Jack Matthews, Jeffrey Mikeska, Heyward Mc Lain, Gene Patterson, Anton Slafka, Wayne Jordan Smith, Jimmie Welch, and Robert Williams. Mr. Watson seconded that motion and passed with a vote of (4-0). Mr. Watson made a motion to send letters to R. L. Gilbreath and Christopher Lane stating that they were denied license renewal. Dr. Chenoweth modified that motion stating they also need to pull a permit before next year. Mr. Dorsett seconded the motion and passed with a vote of (4-0). AGENDA ITEM NO.25: Other business. Building Official Perry stated that the Legal department has requested that the Board set a specific time period to retake the master electrician exam. Mr. Grillo suggested the exam may be taken again 30 days after failing the test. Mr. Dorsett agreed with his suggestion; however, possible problems could arise with this solution. Mr. Watson recommended that the exam not be taken more than 3 times a year. Mr. Watson made a to establish a policy stating the master electrician exam may be taken again after 30 days upon request; however, no more than three times a year. Mr. Dorsett seconded the motion and was passed with a vote of (4-0). AGENDA ITEM NO.26: Adjourn. Mr. Grillo made a motion for adjournment. Dr. Chenoweth made a motion to notify Aaron Dean and Clifford Matthews that they need to pull another permit before next year in order to renew their license. Mr. Dorsett seconded the motion and passed unopposed (4-0). The test of Michael Young was graded by all members and he did not pass. AGENDA ITEM NO. 17: Other business. Dr. Chenoweth noted that an adjective one of the questions on the master electrician test was lacking "ed". Dr. Chenoweth also stated he would like the date of the last permit pulled and the exact expiration date of the license on the master electrician renewal form. BuildingTechnician Cole stated to the Board she received a hone call from Robert arville who stated he would like the requirement of -pulling one permit every two years for license renewal changed in the ordinance. Dr. C henoweth stated that the Ordinance has reasonable ways making a permit available to out of town electricians. Chairman Freeman stated when Council decides to change the Ordinance, his request will be considered; otherwise, the requirement still applies to license renewal. AGENDA ITEM NO. 19: Adjourn.
