Resolution Accepting the Provisions of State Highways and Public
Transportation Commission Minute Order
STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF BRAZOS
February 8, 1978
Motion was made by Councilman Dozier and seconded by Councilman
Halter that the City Council of the City of College Station accept
the provisions contained in Minute Order No. 73946 passed by the
State Department of Highways and Public Transportation Commission
on January 24, 1978, as per Council Minutes of February 8, 1978.
Vote on the motion was as follows:
AYE NO
Councilman Dozier
Councilman Halter
Councilman Stephenson
Councilman Hazen
Councilman Gardner
Councilman Ringer
Mayor Lorence Bravenec
None
Whereupon the motion was unanimously carried.

Gentlemen:
Bids were opened at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 6, for College
Station Contract No. CS-78-ED-12. This contract provides for the
estimated electrical construction needs of the City for the 1978
calendar year exclusive of those large scale projects that are
separately contracted.
Two bids were received. They were:
(1) A & M Construction Company $270,447.75
(2) Gulf States, Inc. $980,742.55
We have examined these bids and find the bid of A & M Construction
Company to be a balanced bid and satisfactory in every way. It is below
our estimate of $280,000.00.
We recommend you award this contract to the A & M Construction
Company.
