On the Death Of
W, A. TA1LROW
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas,
recalls with sober and obedient respect that Mr. W. A. Tarrow, a
greatly admired and revered citizen died on Friday, January 20, 1978;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Tarrow served his community as a teacher and principal
of Lincoln High School for many years; and
WHEREAS, he was an outstanding lay leader in his church and spent
his retirement in active community work; and
WHEREAS, he was recognized nationally for this work in the community
and his church; and
WHEREAS, it is evident that the impact of his life upon the people
in this community, young and old, has and will continue to be
remembered and respected; and
WHEREAS, his honesty, integrity, wisdom, and love for his fellow
man, both body and soul, went far beyond those of the average man.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that this Council record its
appreciation for the contributions made to this community and its
people by Mr. W. A. Tarrow and that this resolution be made a part
of the minutes of this meeting and that a copy of this resolution
be forwarded to Mrs. W. A. Tarrow, who survives.
