1. A PRELIMINARY JURISDICTIONAL DETERMINATION OF WATERS OF THE U.S. AND ADJACENT WETLANDS WAS
PREPARED AND SUBMITTED TO THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS (USAGE) OCTOBER 2002 BY ALAN
PLUMMER ASSOCIATES, INC. TOTAL IMPACTS TO JURISDICTIONAL WATERS AS A RESULT OF THE PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT ARE LESS THAN THRESHOLD LIMITS REQUIRING PRE -CONSTRUCTION NOTIFICATION TO TH
E
USACE. THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT IS CURRENTLY AUTHORIZED UNDER NATIONWIDE PERMIT 39. THE
PURPOSE OF THE 50' WATERS OF THE U.S. BUFFER IS TO LIMIT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITHIN THIS AREA
THEREBY AVOIDING IMPACT TO JURISDICTIONAL AREAS. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE BUFFER AREA
ARE TO BE LIMITED TO THOSE EXPRESSLY ALLOWED BY KLING ENGINEERING & SURVEYING.
2. MINIMUM FINISHED FLOOR ELEVATIONS FOR STRUCTURES IS TO BE A MINIMUM OF 1' ABOVE FEMA 100
