COMPREHENSIVE PLAN EVALUATION
COMMITTEE

COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Dennis Christianson, Lisa Halperin, Elianor Vessali, John Nichols, Jeremy Osborne, Elizabeth Cunha, Julie Schultz and Clint Cooper COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: Brad Brimley, Brian Bochner, Michael Buckley, Linda Harvell
and Shana Elliott
CITY STAFF PRESENT: Director of Planning and Development Jennifer Prochazka, Assistant Director Molly Hitchcock, Long Range Planning Administrator Justin Golbabai and Staff Assistant Robin Macias
1. Call the meeting to order.
The meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. 2. Consideration, discussion, and possible action to approve meeting minutes.
• August 27, 2019
Committee Member Vessali requested a clarification to her statement regarding involving
the school district. She stated that she also said the university should be involved as
well. 3. Presentation and discussion of public and stakeholder input report.
Planning Next consultant Jaime Greene gave an overview of the report.
He discussed the following items: 1. Who we heard from and representation of whose input we received 2. The stakeholder input themes 3. The public workshop activities
a. Rating of existing Plan Goals
b. Mapping Activities
There was general discussion amongst the board regarding the report. Committee member Schultz stated that having a did you know flyer of upcoming
development or a model of potential development areas would be beneficially the next
time we receive public input.
4. Discussion of potential geographic areas to consider evaluating in the scenario process. Planning Next consultant Greene presented a map showing the locations of interest
during the citizen workshops.
There was general discussion amongst the Committee regarding different areas to
consider for scenarios.
5. Presentation and discussion regarding next Comprehensive Plan Evaluation Committee Meetings.
• January 2020 – Meeting date, time and location to be determined.
There was general discussion amongst the committee regarding the upcoming meetings.
It was determined that City Staff should poll the committee again for a good meeting
date in January. 6. Adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
