A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, APPROVING A
GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH,
DIVISION OF ORAL HEALTH, TO PROVIDE FLUORIDATION SYSTEM
UPGRADES.
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Health, division of Oral Health, has established a statewide
grant program as part of it's overall goal of assuring that public water systems in communities
across Texas are fluoridating via State approved methods; and
WHEREAS, the City' Council of the City of College Station desires to apply for a full grant for
improvements to the existing fluoridating system; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
Part I: That the CiD' Council hereby approves the grant application for $35.000 for the
purpose of automating the fluoride delivery system.
Part 2:
That the City council hereby agrees to provide the initial funding for the upgrades in the
form of a Service Level Adjustment. The Texas Department of Heath will reimburse
100% of the funding for the project upon it's completion.
Part 3:
That tile City' Council of the City. of College Station hereby authorizes and designates
tile Mayor to sign the agreements with the Texas Department of Health for this grant
application on behalf of the Ci.ty of College Station.
Part 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
