Dear Mr. Woods:
The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to share information about the
safety improvements to George Bush Drive and gather input from the public. The proposed
improvements are to install additional raised medians within the project limits, resurface pavement
and make upgrades to sidewalks. You and your staff are cordially invited to attend the public
meeting and to share this information with your constituents. The meeting notice has been sent to
property owners adjacent to the project and will be published in The Eagle on December 24, 2019.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the College View
High School located at 1300 George Bush Drive, College Station, TX 77840 and conducted in an
open house format. At the meeting, attendees can view project information and drawings, visit with
the project team, and share their comments for consideration. Layouts form the meeting will also be
available on the project webpage, txdot.gov keyword "FM 2347 Raised Medians".
Construction on this project is anticipated to begin summer 2021. if you would like additional
information regarding the project, please feel free to contact me directly.
