MEMBERS PRESENT : Chairman Keith Roberts , Bill Lartigue, Jim Sharp , Randal Allison
and Jeff Mazzolini
MEMBERS ABSENT : Howard Mayne and Sherri Echols
STAFF PRESENT : Molly Hitchcock , Leslie Tipton- Whitten , Justin Constantino , and
Crystal Derkowski
AGENDA ITEM NO. 1 : Call to Order.
Chairman Roberts called the meeting to order at 6 : 01 p . m .
AGENDA ITEM NO . 2 : Presentation , possible action and discussion regarding absence
requests .

Board Member Lartigue motioned to approve the absence requests . Board Member Allision
seconded the motion, which passed ( 5 - 0) .
AGENDA ITEM NO . 3 : Presentation , possible action , and discussion regarding meeting
minutes from August 07 , 2018 .
Board Member Mazzolini motioned to approve the August 04 , 2018 meeting minutes . Board
Member Sharp seconded the motion that passed (5 - 0) .
AGENDA ITEM NO . 4 : Public hearing, presentation , possible action , and discussion
regarding a side setback variance to the Unified Development
Ordinance (UDO) Section 5 . 2 Residential Dimensional
Standards for The Cooner Addition Block 3 Lot 2 , generally
located at 302 Cooner Street A, which is zoned R-4 Multi-
Family . Case #AWV2018 -000029 (J. Constantino)
Justin Constantino , Senior Planner, presented the staff report and stated that the applicant is
requesting a variance of 1 . 75 feet to the required side setback of 7 . 5 feet .
Chairman Roberts opened the public hearing.
Brad Lintz, applicant, 302 West 26th Street, Bryan Texas , spoke in favor for this variance .
Chairman Roberts closed the public hearing .
There was general discussion amongst the Board .
Chairman Roberts motioned to approve the variance as it is not a detriment to the public health,
safety or welfare . Board Member Lartique seconded the motion, which passed ( 5 - 0) .
AGENDA ITEM NO . 6 : Discussion and possible action on future agenda items - A
member may inquire about a subject for which notice has
not been given . A statement of specific factual information
or the recitation of existing policy may be given . Any
deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject
on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
There was no discussion on future agenda items .

The meeting was adjourned at 6 : 19 p . m .

RECOMMENDED FORMAT FOR POSITIVE MOTION
I move to authorize the variance( s) of a reduction of 1 . 75 feet to the 7 . 5 foot
minimum side setback (dimension, percent,
number, etc . ) to Section 5 9 of the Unified Development Ordinance
regarding (building setback, signs , lot dimension, etc . ) as it will not be contrary to the
to the public interest, due to the following special condition(s) :
