Members Present: Margaret Carmichael, Jerry Crockett, Jon Denton, Frank Duchmasclo, Ann
Hays, Russell Kohel, Susan McGrail, Jerry Markowich, Pat VanderBoom and Joanna Yeager
Members Absent: Pearl Robertson
Staff Present: Peter Lamont, Kristina Beaugh and Marci Rodgers
I. Call to order The meeting was called to order by Frank Duchmasclo following a tour
of Fire Station #6.
II. Welcome New Committee Members Mr. Duchmasclo welcomed new members,
Jerry Crockett, Russell Kohel and Joanna Yeager, to the committee.
III. Approval of minutes from regular meeting on November 25, 2013 Jerry
Markowich made a motion to approve the minutes. Ann Hays seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
IV. Discussion and possible action concerning Senior Advisory Committee Goals FY
2014 A sub -committee was appointed to discuss 2014 goals. The committee
members are Russell Kohel, Jerry Crockett and Pat VanderBoom. The sub-
committee will meet prior to the February 24 th meeting to present possible goals for
the committee.
V. Presentation, possible action and discussion on Senior Services Coo rdinator
Report regarding current and upcoming programs and events (report attached)
Kristina Beaugh discussed Heart Health Week scheduled for February 10-14th at
Southwood Community Center. Highlights for the week include a Senior Health Fair
on February 11 th; Guest speaker Dr. Rocky Bilhartz –BCS Heart with a light lunch
served on February 12 th; Sweatheart Dance on February 13th and Valentine’s Day Tea
and Bingo on Februa ry 14 th. All events are free and many door prizes will be given
away.
VI. Presentation, discussion and possible action on future agenda items: A
Committee member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been
given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing
policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the
subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.

VII. Adjourn and tour of facility The meeting adjourned at 10:45am
