COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Jodi Warner, Jerome Rektorik, Jim Ross, and Bo Miles of
the City of College Station Planning and Zoning Commission.
Chairman Michael Beckendorf, Michael Parks, Bobby Gutierrez, Scott Hickle, Prentiss Madison,
Leo Gonzalez, and Pete Bienski of the City of Bryan Planning and Zoning Commission.
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Mike Ashfield, Craig Hall, and James Benham of the City
of College Station Planning and Zoning Commission.
CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: None
COLLEGE STATION CITY STAFF PRESENT: Jennifer Prochazka, Jason Schubert,
Lauren Hovde, Morgan Hester, Jenifer Paz, Joe Guerra, Molly Hitchcock, Lance Simms, Bob
Cowell, Mary Ann Powell, Adam Falco, Deborah Grace - Rosier, and Brittany Caldwell
BRYAN CITY STAFF PRESENT: Kevin Russell, Lindsey Guindi, Randy Hanes, Michelle
Audenaert, Julie Fulgham, Meredith Riede, Martin Zimmermann, Joey Dunn, and Paul Kasper
1. Call to order.
Commissioner Beckendorf called the Bryan Planning and Zoning Commission to order at
11:07 a.m.
Acting Chairman Warner called the College Station Planning and Zoning Commission to
order at 11:07 a.m.
2. Introduction of City of College Station Planning and Zoning Commissioners and staff.
City of College Station Planning & Zoning Commissioners introduced themselves
3. Introduction of City of Bryan Planning and Zoning Commissioners and staff.
City of Bryan Planning & Zoning Commissioners introduced themselves.
4. Presentation, discussion, and possible action on an update to the Commissions regarding the
BioCorridor master planning efforts for land located along State Highway 47 and Raymond
September 20, 2011 P &Z Joint Workshop Meeting Minutes Page 1 of 2
Stotzer Parkway.
Director Cowell and Assistant Director Guindi, along with Planning Administrator
Hitchcock, gave a presentation regarding an update on the BioCorridor master planning
efforts.
There was general discussion amongst the Commissions regarding the BioCorridor.
Chairman Ashfield and Commissioner Miles with the City of College Station were appointed
to the BioCorridor Subcommittee. Commissioner Warner volunteered to serve as a backup.
5. Discussion on future joint meeting agenda items.
There was no discussion.
6. Adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
