John Nichols, Bill Davis and Harold Strong.
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Dennis Christiansen and Marsha
Sanford.
CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT: None.
PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES STAFF PRESENT: Staff Planner Lindsay
Boyer, Molly Hitchcock, and Jennifer Reeves, .Senior .Assistant City Engineer .Alan Gibbs,
Graduate Civil Engineers Carol Cotter and Josh Norton, Transportation Planner Ken Fogle,

Chairman Shafer called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
1. Presentation, discussion, and possible action on items listed on the consent and regular
agenda.
There was general discussion on Regular Agenda Items 7, 8 and 9.
2. Discussion of minor and amending plats approved by Staff.
• Crescent Point Phase l -Case #OS-130 (MH/JN)
Molly Hitchcock, Staff Planner, reviewed approval of the Plat.
3. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status of the Planning and
Zoning Commission Plan of Work.
Trey Fletcher, Senior Planner, presented the Plan of Work.

4. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding the status of the Neighborhood
Overlay District.
Joey Dunn, Director, gave an update regarding the Neighborhood Overlay District.
5. Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding the Planning and Zoning
Commission calendar of events.
• September 22, 2005 - New Commissioner Orientation - Planning and
Development Services Office - 11:OOam to 2':OOpm
• October 12, 2005 -Impact Fees .Training -Council Chambers - 1:OOpm to
S:OOpm
• TBA -Special Workshop regarding topics from the Subdivision Regulations
The calendar of .upcoming events was reviewed. Joey Dunn, Director, .stated that on
September 27, 2005, there would be a Neighborhood Meeting at the Texas A&M Church
of Christ at 6:00 p.m.
6. Discussion and possible action on future agenda items - A Planning and Zoning Member
may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific
factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation
shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
None.
7. Adjourn.
