February 1, 1996
7:00 P.M.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairman Hawthorne, Commissioners Gribou, Lightfoot & Lane.
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioners Smith, Hall and Garner.
STAFF PRESENT: Assistant Director of Economic and Development Services
Callaway and Planning Technician Thomas.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 1: Approval of minutes from the meeting of January 4, 1996.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 2: A public hearing to consider a final plat of a portion of block 23 of the
College Park Subdivision which is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Park Place and
Dexter. (96-201)
AGENDA ITEM NO. 3: Remove item from table, and consider a rezoning request for
approximately 50 acres of land located on the northeast corner of the Schaffer Road and Graham Road
intersection from A-O Agricultural Open to R-lA Single Family Residential and R-2 Duplexes. (95-109)
AGENDA ITEM N0.4: A public hearing to consider a rezoning request for approximately 34 acres
of land located in the vicinity of Sebesta Road and Highway 6 from R-1 Single Family Residential and A-O
Agricultural Open to M-1 Planned Industrial. (96-100)
Chairman Hawthorne called the meeting to order and opened the public hearings for agenda items two and four.
He stated that due to inclement weather, the public hearings will remain open until the next regularly scheduled
Commission meeting on Thursday, February 15, 1996 at 7:00 p.m. He stated that the Conunission will ;also defer
action on the remaining agenda items until the next meeting.
AGENDA ITEM NO. 5: Other business.
There was no other business.
AGENDA ITEM N0.6: Adjourn.
Corrunissioner Lightfoot moved to adjourn the meeting of the Planning and Zonin~Conunission. Commissioner
Lane seconded the motion which passed unopposed (4 - 0). ~ ~' " --
