Special Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
January 22, 1976
6:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Longley; Commissioners Miller, Burke, Mathewson, Boyett;
Council Liaison Adams; City Planner Mayo; Planning Assistant

MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioners Stevenson, Stover
Agenda Item No. 1 -- Consideration of Council recommendation for planning and recon-
sideration of area on south side of University from Texas Avenue to Tarrow and more
particularly the 1.00 acre tract belonging to Michael K. Davis.
Mr. Davis discussed possible development plans for this area with the members of the
Commission and City Planner Mayo. Commissioner Mathewson moved that the Commission
state that the need for a street connection between Peyton and Poplar Streets is
unnecessary in review of the existing land tracts and that an effort should be made
to continue Banks Street to Live Oak Street in the future. It was further moved
that the Commission's original recommendation regarding the Michael K. Davis 1.00
acre tract be returned to City Council unchanged.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Boyett and unanimously approved.
Agenda Item No. 2 -- Adjourn.
Commissioner Burke moved that the meeting be adjourned.
