Emergency Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting
December 10, 1974
5:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Longley; Commissioners Stevenson, Miller, Chaney;
Council Liaison Don Dale; Assistant Director of Public Works
Ford; City Planner Bill Koehler.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioners Wallace, Boyett and Calliham.
VISITORS PRESENT: See guest register.
The meeting was called to order at 5:40 P.M.
Agenda Item No. 1 -- Hear visitors. No one spoke.
Agenda Item No. 2 -- Consideration of a preliminary and final plat of the
FKO Addition. The Chairman asked Mr. Ford and Mr. Koehler if everything on the
plat appeared in order. Mr. Ford said that the plat appeared to be what the
Planning Commission had asked for at their previous meeting.
Mr. Osaba asked if the 10 foot utility easement along the southeast side of the
property was necessary. Councilman Dale and Chairman Longley stated that the
easement was necessary and that it was standard procedure to require such
easements and plats.
Commissioner Chaney pointed out that the offset shown in the northwest line
of Lot 1, would preclude the use of that portion of the property as a separate
lot in later platting. He suggested that it would be advantageous to the developer
to correct the offset in the lot line.
Mr. Kahan stated that the only building proposed would take place in the front
130 feet and that the line that had been platted, was intended to be fenced. The
Commission concurred that a fence could be built outside the platted area.
Mr. Kahan agreed that the plat would be better without the offset.
Commissioner Stevenson moved that the plat be approved subject to Lot 1 being
changed so as to be 130 feet deep with the backline parallel to the right-of-way
line of Texas Avenue. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Chaney and
unanimously approved.
Agenda Item No. 3 -- Consideration of cancellation of the regular meeting of
December 16. The City Planner said that there was no business on the agenda for
the meeting of December 16. Commissioner Miller moved that the meeting of the
16th of December be cancelled. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stevenson
and unanimously approved.
Agenda Item No. 4 -- Adjourn. On motion by Commissioner Miller, seconded by
Commissioner Chaney and unanimously approved, the meeting was adjourned.
