PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
CITY HALL
February 15, 1971
7:00 P. M.
Members Present: Chairman C. D. Wells; Commissioners J. A. Orr, Carl Tishler,
Dr. Douglas Stone; Council Liaison Bill J. Cooley; City Secretary
Sue Gough; City Planner George Eby; City Engineer Lloyd James
Members Absent: Commissioners Carl Landiss, Bob Evans, George Boyett
Chairman Wells called the meeting to order at 7:00 P. M. Minutes of meeting held
February 1, 1971 were approved as written upon motion by Carl Tishler, second by
Commissioner J. A. Orr. Motion carried.
Commission members reviewed the proposed P-U-D ordinance as proposed by the
Zoning Committee. Planner Eby presented information of Planned Unit Developments
and discussed with citizens present the ideas related to a P-U-D.
Commissioner Stone moved that the Chairman be authorized to have the P-U-D ordinance
• (draft dated February 15) mimeographed for public distribution. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Orr. Motion carried.
Commission members deferred taking action on the request for additional time needed
by the City Engineer and City Planner for reviewing subdivision plans until the next meeting.
Dedication of right-of-way to the City was discussed and Chairman Wells reported he
would talk to the City Attorney on this subject.
No visitors present to be heard, and no other action to be taken at this time, Commissioner
Stone moved for adjournment. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Orr and carried.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P. M.
