MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
May 6, 1968

Members Present: Charley Wootan, Chairman; Codie Wells, Phillip Steen, Jr. ,
Joe Sawyer, Everett Janne, Jim O'Brien.
Visitors Present: T. R. Holleman and Ran Boswell, City Manager.
A joint meeting of the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission was called
for 7:00 p.m. Davis McGill presented a proposal covering the sale of bonds. The
meeting started at 8:10 p.m. with the presentation to the Council and Commission of
a new ordinance and proposed zoning districts map by Joe McGraw, representing the
Southwest Planning Associates.
The meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission began at 9:40 p.m. Charley
Wootan appointed the following three committees:
(1) Long Range Planning - (charge 1 & 2)
Jim Gardner, Phillip Steen, Jr.
(2) Zoning - (charge 3)
Everett Janne, Joe Sawyer.
• (3) Sub-Divisions - (charge 4)
Codie Wells, Jim O'Brien.
The following members of the Commission were appointed as representatives on the
following committees:
Commercial Development Committee - Joe Sawyer
City Cemetery Committee - Everett Janne
Parks and Recreation Committee - Jim Gardner
Airport Zoning Board - Jim O'Brien
A meeting with the Southwest Planning Associates and City Council was set for May
20, 1968.
On motion by Jim O'Brien, seconded by Joe Sawyer, the plat submitted •for Memorial
Square was approved.
On motion by Codie Wells, seconded by Jim O'Brien, the preliminary plat of the Glade,
Section eleven, Crawford Burnett League, Area Progress Association, Owner, was
approved.
Request for rezoning by Phillip Goode for Lot 11 and Lot 12, Block 1, referred to Sub-
• Committee 2 (Zoning).
The meeting adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
