Members Present: Chairman Charley Wootan; C. D. Wells, Everett Janne, Jim Gardner,
Phillip Steen, Jr. , Jim O'Brien, Joe Sawyer.
The special meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was called by Chairman
Charley Wootan for the purpose of considering a zoning request for University Oaks.
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M.
Previous meetings were reviewed by Chairman Wootan explaining the zoning request.
After discussion of presentation by developer, Mr. Gardner made a motion to
disapprove the zoning change. The motion was seconded by Mr. Janne.
Mr. Wells made an amendment to original motion that the developer be notified that
request was denied because of inadequate answers to questions that had arisen and
lack of proper information concerning development. Amendment eras accepted by
Mr. Gardner. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Wells to instruct developers that a letter be sent to the
Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission requesting a zoning change and also
a letter requesting withdrawal of a previous request, be sent to the Chairman
should the developer change his plans. Motion was seconded by Mr. Janne. Motion
• carried.
The next scheduled meeting members are reminded to meet at 5:30 P.M. at the Ramada
Inn for dinner before the meeting.
Plans will be made for a change in date for the September meeting at the August
meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
