City Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting
September 12, 1966

1. Considered request by Mr. Fitch to approve final plat on school property
south of Ridgefield Addition. Motion for approval by Bill Smith, second
by Bob Schleider. Motion carried with provison that City Council remind
School Board that they should take action on getting property into corporate
city limits.
2. Considered request by Homer Adams to rezone attached described property
from number one residential to number one commercial to allow for
construction of fireproof warehouse. Motion for approval by Ed Cooper,
second by Dr. Parker. Motion carried. (Note: Attachments on Morgan
Rector League given to Mr. Boswell by Cooper, for attachment).
3. Members of the Bryan Planning Committee met with the College Station
group to discuss alternatives for location of boundaries demarking city
limit lines now in extraterritorial jurisdiction. Following discussion,
Chairman Burns requested that the College Station and Bryan City
Engineers work jointly upon a plan for mutual consideration by the
• Bryan Planning Committee and the College Station Planning and
Zoning Committee. The plan thus resulting from the Engineers' study
to be discussed at joint meeting of the groups, tentatively planned
for the third Thursday in October at 7:30 p. m.
4. Meeting adjourned at 6:10 p. m.
