MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
• February 25, 1965
The Planning and Zoning Commission of College Station, Texas met at the
City Hall on Thursday, February 25, 1965. The following members were
present:
Hervey, Anderson,Sorenson, Richardson, and Burns.
Ran Boswell-City Manager met with the commission.
Leacrest Addition Preliminary Plat was presented to the commission by
Bill Fitch.
Hervey moved that we refer the plat back to Mr. Fitch with the
recommendation that he present a revised plat to conform with Ordinances
No. : 210 and 38.
Motion seconded by Anderson.
Motion carried.
Hervey moved that Taylor Riedel's request to rezone tract of 13.92 acres
of land abutting State Road 30 on the south from # 1 Residential to # 1
Business be tabled for further study.
Motion seconded by Sorenson.
Motion carried.
1111 Anderson moved that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval
of the application of Alphonse L. Holik, Sr. to rezone from # 1 Residential
to # 1 Business of the property fronting on County Road between Welsh
and Hereford Streets, comprising a rectangular area of 170 X 240 feet.
In making this recommendation, the commission wishes to go on record that
it does not desire to establish a precedent in a residential area but feels
that since this business has been operating in this location for several
years that such action seems warranted.
Motion seconded by Hervey.
Motion carried.
Hervey moved that the commission recommend to the City Council the rezoning
of Lots 1, 2, 3 and part of lot 4; Block 19, Boyett Survey, owned by H. M.
Pitner from # 2 Residential to # 3 Apartment House District.
Motion seconded by Anderson.
Motion carried.
