CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
August 28, 1942
Members Present: Holleran, Hervey, Sorenson, Richardson, Burns, Boswell
1. Request that portions of D. A. Smith subdivision be rezoned for
business and commercial use. Motion that portions of lot 1 and all of lot
2 be rezoned to No. 1 business by Burns. Second by Hervey. Motion passed.
2. Request that property as described by Marion Pugh in letter of
August 1, 1862 be re-zoned fron class 2 residential to class 3 apartment
area. Inadequate street and limited present access was discussed. This
would involve extension of Meadowland Street, a thirty foot street of less
than minimum standards, and there is pone doubt as to whether this property
has been actually dedicated to the City. It was resolved that action on
rezoning be withheld until **equate access to the property is provided.
Motion by Sorenson, second Burns. Motion carried,
J 3. Discussion of needed planning of area from Glade Street and The
Knoll to Highway i; particularly street dedication was concluded by
M general agreement that a special session be held to consider this area
in the next few weeks.
