February 12, 1964
Members Present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Orr, Boyett, Rosprim, Landiss,
Rhodes, Sorrels; City Secretary Manning, City Manager Boswell.
Visitors Present: Messrs. J. E. Vincent, Wesley Donaldson, W. H. Badgett,
W. H. Parsons.
Purpose of meeting was to discuss problems of fire insurance, cost of
® fire protection, providing full-time employees at fire station, etc. --all of
which as refers generally to the relationship of the city and Texas A. & M.
University in such matters.
On motion by Councilman Orr, seconded by Councilman Boyett, the mayor
was directed to advise Brazos County officials that the contract existing
between the City of College Station and Brazos County for fighting of fires
y in the county outside of the city limits of the City of College Station will
W be terminated on June 30, 1964.
W The council adjourned subject to call.
