Brad, born during the Roaring Twenties in
Fort Worth, Texas, was greeted with open
arms by The Great Depression and World
War II. He attended Texas A&M, served in
Naval Aviation and worked at Phillips
Petroleum Company’s Kansas City refinery
before transferring to Iraq. Mary and Brad
married in 1951 and spent a wonderful fifty
years together before Mary’s passing.
"Brad's stories are like popcorn: you can't stop munching till the bag is empty,"
writes Donnis Baggett, the Editor-in-Chief of The Eagle. "His dry wit and knack
for storytelling shine in WE'VE NEVER HAD A KING. Brad's chronicle of life with
his beloved wife Mary and their 1950's adventures in Iraq is a smorgasbord of
humor and adventure."
