The City Council. met in a called session July 11, 1949, with the
foll.ol�ring present: I;Tayor Langford, Councilmen Ames, Badgett, Halpin and
Orr; 'Cit.r Secri;tai�r ?.1cGinni s and City Tanager ogers.

Councilman-Badgett made a motion to accent the recommendation of the
City Zoning Coi:vnJs;ion that the area annexed to the City by Ordinance r 127,
passed I,lay 23, 19/+91 be zoned as District No. 1 and set August- 15, 1919, as the
date for the public hearing pertaining• to the zoning classification.
The motion was seconded by Councilman Orr and the Council. vote was
unanimous in favor of the motion.
Councilman Badgett made a motion 'to accept the recommendation of
the City Zoning Commission 'that Ordinance .To. 126 be approved; ordered 'the
Ordinance ''do. 126 published and to begin its enforcement iriediate1, after
publication.
This mgtion was seconded by Councilman Ames and the Council. vote was
u ian:-nous in favor of the motion.
The Council referred the request of Mr. Chester Allen, Austin, Texas,
to change -the zoning reg;.L.ations so as to permit the bu:1.1din of a 'T. otolr
on Highway 6, to the City Zoning Commission, and set Au ;us't 15, 1949, as the
date fora public hearing on the rccoi:unendaticn of the Zoning Commission.

the City Dudget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1949.
