Thursday, April 29, 1948
1,4embers present: Mayor Langford; Councilmen Halpin, Badgett, Orr, Black and
Brown; City Engineer Benson; City Attorney Barger and City Manager Vaughn.
Members absent: Councilman Ames.
Visitors present: Dr. F. B. Clark and P. B. Goode.
Mayor Langford read to the assembled Council a proposed Bill of Sale from F. B.
Clark to the City of College Station, a proposed Transfer of property to a
Trustee from the City of College Station, Texas, and a copy of a proposed Note.
There followed a general discussion of the proposal made by Dr. Clark. There
was some objection to certain phrases and Mayor Langford proposed that Dr.
Clark rewrite the proposal. Barger suggested that this would not be necessary.
It was proposed that the Council meet again on Tuesday, May 4 at 5:00 P. M.
in the City Office to reconsider the proposal.
Meeting adjourned.
