MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
• OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
NOVEMBER 8, 1978
The Bryan Library Board met in regularsession on November 8, 1978 in the
Reference Room of the Library.
Present were Mrs. R. J. Holmgreen, President of the Board, Mr. Travis B. Bryan,
Jr. , Mrs. C. J. Allen, Mrs. Bookman Peters, Mrs. Jesse Flores, and Mrs. R. H. Harrison,
III.
Absent was Mrs. Willie Pruitt.
Under regular business, the minutes of the October meeting were approved as written.
Mr. Bryan moved acceptance of the booklist and Mrs. Flores seconded it.
Under old business, the Blinn College situation was discussed. The Board proposed
an additional meeting with the Mayor and City Council to discuss a future plan of action.
• Concerning the collection agent, a contract will be drawn up paying $.15 per mile
and $5.00 per hour for a total of 9 hours per week.
Under new business, the Librarian announced the TLA District Library Meeting,
which will be held in Bryan on November 11, 1978.
A sample citizens complaint form was distributed and approved by the Library
Board.
The annual Friends Book Sale will be held November 17, and 18 at the Manor East
Mall.
A listing of the library's magazine and newspaper holdings was compiled and
distributed.
The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.

On the 8th of November, 1978, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened
in regular session in the regular meeting place in the Reference Room located in the
Library Building at 5 p.m. with the following members present.
