OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
JUNE 14, 1978

On the 14th of June, 1978, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened
in regular session in the regular meeting place in the Reference Room located in
the Library Building at 5 p.m. with the following members present.

ITEM I: The minutes of the May meeting were approved as written.
ITEM 2: The statistics were examined and discussed.
ITEM 3: The booklist was accepted.
ITEM 4: : The librarian discussed the problem of overdue materials and reported the
methods which various libraries in Texas handle this situation. The Library
Board recommended that a person be hired as a collection agent for overdue
materials, and that a statement to this effect be put in the forthcoming
budget.
ITEM 5: The librarian read the report by Mrs. R. H. Harrison on the volunteer program.
The Board suggested the librarian begin this program on a limited basis.
ITEM 6: Mrs. Holmgreen reported that Mrs. Madge Wallace has offered to the library
four sepia printes of early Texas. The Board moved this gift be accepted.
The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
